You may think you know everything about these ladies leading the horror genre, but they're here to prove you wrong. The final girl is a common trope used in many horror movies. We all know her as the smart determined young lead. She stands out against those around her as pure and intelligent. While her peers and surrounding cast fall into bad habits, such as underage drinking, or sexual relations, she refrains maintaining her good morals. Because of this she is able to avoid the killer until the final face down, where against all odds she lives to tell the tale. Though by then she has usually been driven insane.
